James M. Fowler
Mr. Fowler graduated from the University of West Los Angeles in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his law degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1992. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Central District of California and is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Fowler specializes in insurance defense and acts as national counsel for manufacturers of consumer products, supervising products liability programs involving a broad range of products. He is active in tort reform as a member of the American Tort Reform Association. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Propane Gas Defense Association, the American Society of Gas Engineers and the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM).
David B. Madariaga
Mr. Madariaga is the litigation manager and lead trial attorney for Fowler Law Group. Mr. Madariaga has the distinction of attaining the Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent AV rating. He graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1987, with a degree in Political Science. He earned his law degree from Loyola Law School and was admitted to the California Bar in 1992. Mr. Madariaga became a member of the Nevada Bar in 2001, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central, Northern and Southern Districts. Mr. Madariaga has extensive experience in civil litigation including the areas of construction defect, home inspection E&O defense, trucking, products and premises liability, real estate, wage and hour, employment and business. Other areas of practice include insurance coverage, formation of business entities, and business transactional work. As part of his work with Fowler Law Group, Mr. Madariaga managed the TPA program for a general liability insurance carrier that insured general contractors and subcontractors and oversaw all of its claims handling work in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas. Mr. Madariaga has completed classes at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution in Strategic Negotiation Skills, and Star – A Systematic Approach to Mediation Strategies. Mr. Madariaga is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, TIDA, and the California Trucking Association. Mr. Madariaga speaks on the topic of risk management at the American Society of Home Inspectors and Casey O’Malley and Associates seminars.
Michael A. Lloyd
Mr. Lloyd graduated from Stanford University in 1975, where he majored in history and graduated cum laude with honors in humanities. After his 1983 graduation summa cum laude from Concordia College with a degree in music composition, Mr. Lloyd pursued his first career as a composer, performer and teacher. Thereafter, he earned his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1992. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California. Mr. Lloyd is an experienced litigator whose practice areas include business litigation, insurance defense, construction defect litigation, products liability, personal injury, trucking, employment law, wage and hour and bankruptcy.
Ms. Asuncion graduated from Chapman University in 2005, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice and a concentration in Business Management. She earned her Law Degree from Whittier Law School with a certificate in Business Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 2010. She is also admitted to practice before the Unites States District Court, Central District of California. Ms. Asuncion is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Ms. Asuncion specializes in construction defect and products liability litigation.
Brandon L. Hinson
Mr. Hinson graduated from Arizona State University in 2008, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Studies, with an emphasis in Pre-Law. He earned his Law Degree from Arizona Summit Law School and was admitted to the California Bar in 2015. Mr. Hinson is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and California Young Lawyers Association. Mr. Hinson specializes in construction defect and products liability litigation, and also has experience in general corporate matters such as formation and conversion of business entities and business transactional work.
Ms. Dzharatanyan graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 2013, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English. Ms. Dzharatanyan earned her Law Degree and a certificate in Business Law from Whittier Law School in 2017, where she was a multiple CALI Award recipient. While pursing her law degree, she served as the Social Chair and the Vice President of the Armenian Law School Society, where she organized fundraisers and events. She became a member of the State Bar of California in 2017. Ms. Dzharatanyan specializes in defending product manufacturers on a national basis.
Scott M. Gonzalez
Mr. Gonzalez graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1982, where he majored in Political Science and graduated cum laude. After obtaining his teaching credential, Mr. Gonzalez pursued his first career as a teacher in Pasadena Unified School District. Thereafter, he earned his law degree from Southwestern School of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1996. He is admitted to practice before United States, Central District of California. Mr. Gonzalez was staff counsel for a major insurance company and is an experienced litigator whose practice areas include insurance defense, construction defect, personal injury, and premises liability. Mr. Gonzalez also acted as coverage counsel for an insurance carrier advising on the duty to defend and indemnify regarding construction defect, and has conducted related seminars for claims professionals.
