Mr. Fowler graduated from the University of West Los Angeles in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his law degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1992. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Central District of California and is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Fowler specializes in insurance defense and acts as national counsel for manufacturers of consumer products, supervising products liability programs involving a broad range of products. He is active in tort reform as a member of the American Tort Reform Association. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Propane Gas Defense Association, the American Society of Gas Engineers and the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM).

David B. Madariaga

Mr. Madariaga is AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He focuses his practice on conflict resolution for people and business prior to and during civil litigation, and counseling clients on how to minimize the risk of litigation. Mr. Madariaga is currently the litigation manager and lead trial attorney for Fowler Law Group in state and federal court. He has extensive experience resolving matters in the areas of construction defect, home inspection, products and premises liability, trucking defense, real estate, landlord tenant, and habitability disputes, wage and hour disputes, employment litigation, insurance coverage, and business disputes and transactional work. Mr. Madariaga counsels and defends several product manufacturers nationally, and as part of his work with Fowler Law Group, managed the TPA program for a general liability insurance carrier that insured general contractors and subcontractors in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas. In managing the TPA program he helped draft policy language, drafted coverage opinions, drafted claims handling and reporting guidelines and best practices, collaborated with reinsurers, oversaw all claims, and supervised and directed local counsel. Mr. Madariaga graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1987, with a degree in Political Science, and earned his law degree from Loyola Law School. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1992, and became a member of the Nevada Bar in 2001. Mr. Madariaga has completed classes at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution in Strategic Negotiation Skills, and Star – A Systematic Approach to Mediation Strategies. Mr. Madariaga is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), Claims and Litigation Management (CLM), Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC), and the California Trucking Association (CTA). Mr. Madariaga has published articles and presented seminars on risk management, report writing, and the law of home inspection for ASHI, CREIA, and other home inspection industry groups in California, Nevada, and New Orleans.

Jennifer Asuncion

Ms. Asuncion graduated from Chapman University in 2005, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice and a concentration in Business Management. She earned her Law Degree from Whittier Law School with a certificate in Business Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 2010. Ms. Asuncion interned with the Orange County Public Defenders’ Office, which included interviewing criminal defendants accused of both misdemeanors and felonies. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Central District of California, and practices in both California State and Federal Courts. Prior to joining Fowler Law Group, Ms. Asuncion worked for Marriott Vacation Club International for over a decade where she gained experience in the construction, refurbishment, and preventative maintenance of commercial properties, as well as in commercial contract procurement and additional insurance compliance. At Marriott she processed billing, and assisted in managing a multi-million dollar annual budget. Ms. Asuncion is a member of the American Bar Association, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.  Ms. Asuncion specializes in insurance defense litigation of: construction defect, products and premises liability, personal injury, trucking and commercial auto, wage and hour, employment practices, and commercial and residential habitability. Ms. Asuncion also counsels business clients regarding Proposition 65 and ADA compliance, and assists business clients in the defense of claimed violations in those areas.

Brandon L. Hinson

Mr. Hinson’s practice focuses primarily on complex litigation involving catastrophic injury, trucking and transportation, construction defect, product liability, real estate, commercial disputes, and general liability matters. He has handled numerous arbitrations/mediations, and all phases of litigation. He also has experience in general corporate matters such as formation and conversion of business entities and business transactional work. Prior to re-joining Fowler Law Group in 2023, Mr. Hinson worked for a large national firm where he handled a wide range of transportation matters, including bodily injury and wrongful death, as well as contract and business disputes, habitability, premises liability, construction defect, and real estate matters. Mr. Hinson was admitted to the California Bar in 2015 and the Arizona Bar in 2021. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern, and Eastern Districts of California, as well as the District of Arizona. Mr. Hinson graduated from Arizona State University in 2008, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Studies, with an emphasis in Pre-Law, and earned his Law Degree from Arizona Summit Law School. Mr. Hinson held an Arizona Real Estate salespersons license from 2007 to 2013, and a California Real Estate broker’s license from 2016 to 2020. He is a member of California Lawyer’s Association.

Nicholas Mortl

Mr. Mortl graduated from Santa Clara University in 2016, where he obtained his
Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. He earned his Law Degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law
at Hofstra University in 2020 and was admitted to the California Bar in 2021. Prior to joining Fowler Law
Group, Mr. Mortl worked as an associate on collection matters, evaluating client financial information and
negotiating repayment terms. Mr. Mortl specializes in product liability, insurance defense, and general
business advice for a wide range of manufacturers of consumer products. He is also part of Fowler Law
Group’s insurance defense litigation practice group specializing in products and premises liability,
construction defect, and commercial trucking. Mr. Mortl co-authored a book regarding brand protection
and other intellectual property issues that Amazon sellers face and provides advice on legal services
available if a seller’s brand is misappropriated. Mr. Mortl has also authored online articles regarding
counterfeit merchandise sold online as well as copywrite protections available to musicians. Mr. Mortl has
also assisted in the designing and building of web applications with legal intelligence to assist veterans
with filing claims for benefits.

Jonathan Avraham

Mr. Avraham graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2012, where he obtained
his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. While at University of California at Santa
Barbara, he was an active member of Alpha Epsilon Phi. He earned his Law Degree in 2015
from Pepperdine University, School of Law with a certificate in Dispute Resolution from the
Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. Mr. Avraham was admitted to the California Bar in 2021.
Prior to being admitted to the Bar, Mr. Avraham assisted in the management of his family’s
plumbing business. Prior to joining Fowler Law Group, Mr. Avraham worked in civil litigation,
including personal injury, business and real estate, employment law, and securities. Mr. Avraham
has worked on both the plaintiff and defense side of civil litigation and has extensive knowledge
regarding the application of blockchain technology to dispute resolution. Mr. Avraham
specializes in insurance defense litigation of: construction defect, premises liability, personal
injury, and residential habitability.
