Ms. Helms graduated from Trinity International University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English/Secondary Education. She was the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including the President’s Scholarship, and was selected to be a member of Kappa Delta Pi. While at Trinity, she spent a summer in China teaching English to local teachers. She attended McGeorge School of Law where she was the recipient of several awards including the Dean’s scholarship and the Witkin Award for academic excellence in International Advocacy. She was also one of four students selected to represent McGeorge in Vienna, Austria as part of a commercial arbitration travel team. She has been practicing law in state and federal court since being admitted to the California bar in 2008, and then later the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California in 2009. Ms. Helms was a Board Member for the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce and regularly presented seminars to local businesses on employment law. Ms. Helms has extensive experience in general civil litigation with concentrations in employment, personal injury, construction defect/litigation, real estate, business, bankruptcy, debt negotiation, and insurance related matters prior to joining Fowler Law Group. Previously a licensed property and casualty insurance broker, Ms. Helms has a thorough understanding of risk management and the insurance business. At Fowler Law Group, Ms. Helms specializes in construction defect, products and premises liability, and personal injury defense.
